We are now looking for a personal assistant for a young man who lives centrally on Hisingen together with his family. The position will be appointed upon agreement.

About the assignment

This is a job where structure, presence, and humor need to coexist. Daily life includes both clear routines and spontaneous moments.

The support involves among other things:

• personal care and hygiene
• communication via pictures, speech computer, and iPad
• meal situations and daily routines
• creating safety in transitions and activities

He has no spoken language, but communicates actively in other ways – and this is where you come in as an important part of understanding, interpreting, and providing support in communication.

Who you work with

Interests that often make the days better:

• buses and trams in Gothenburg
• excursions by train to nearby locations
• restaurant visits
• swimming training twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a person for whom relationship and predictability mean a lot – and where small things in daily life make a big difference.

About the working method

You work together with a colleague in double assistance during certain shifts. This means that you collaborate closely, alternate between leading and supporting each other, and together create safety around the person you work with.

We believe you fit if you

• are confident in yourself and like to take initiative when needed
• find it easy to collaborate with both family and colleagues
• have humor and can be both calm and playful in the right situations
• speak Swedish and are attentive to how language and expressions are used in the moment
• preferably have experience with autism or similar functional variations (but the right attitude weighs heavily)

Working hours

• Monday 15:00–22:00
• Tuesday 12:30–22:00
• Thursday 12:30–22:00
• Weekend (even weeks) 13:00–22:00
