About the position

Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the client with everyday situations and basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and ensuring that daily life runs smoothly. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 20-year-old young man who lives with his family in Jonsered, Partille Municipality. He has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and needs help with mobility, personal care, daily chores, and activities, mostly at home after returning from day activities. He has a great interest in music and TikTok, but also enjoys playing games and building Lego models.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is empathetic, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.

Requirements for the position:

• Good knowledge of Swedish

Merits for the position:

• Experience in similar work

• Previous experience with or knowledge of Duchenne muscular dystrophy

• Shares the client's interests in social media, music, and gaming

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary

The current form of employment is "hourly employment" and is a temporary position at 47 % lasting from mid-September to the end of November/beginning of December. You will work 3 weekdays per week, with working hours from 13:15 to 19:30. An introduction will take place before the start, and there are good chances of continuing as an hourly substitute if needed after the temporary contract ends.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits according to the collective agreement.

Start date: According to agreement.
