The Elderly Care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction. The operations and working methods should be characterized by respect for individual integrity and self-determination.

Health and Medical Care for the Elderly is responsible for round-the-clock medical care at the primary care level and currently has approximately 250 employees. The operations are divided into home healthcare with just over 1,200 patients and special housing with approximately 900 patients.

Your responsibilities

In the role of Development Manager, you will have two colleagues in equivalent positions, enabling close cooperation and joint development. You will have a broad and independent assignment where you serve as a close strategic and operational support to the managers of the elderly care operations. We are looking for you who want to contribute to strengthening and developing quality work within elderly care for a knowledge-based and patient-safe elderly care. You will drive, ensure, and further develop quality parameters in daily work, which takes place in close collaboration with our operations. This includes, among other things, supporting and strengthening quality improvement work, conducting analyses, preparing decision support materials, and supporting the creation and revision of existing routines.

The position also includes close cooperation with other development managers and administrative common functions to create synergies and exchange experiences as well as good examples.

About you

You can work both independently and in teams and can represent the administration in both internal and external contexts. We believe that you enjoy communicating messages verbally and have good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. You are a secure, analytical, flexible, and solution-focused person. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience working as a nurse
• Interest and experience in process facilitation
• Ability to conduct development work in politically guided operations
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• A valid B-class driver's license is required for the position

Meritorious

• Knowledge within municipal care, especially elderly care.
