The primary goal and task of Surgical Centre Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, covering both inpatient and outpatient care.

We are looking for nurses to join our wonderful team on the Abdominal and Vascular Surgery Ward. Here, we treat patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases, colorectal diseases, and vascular diseases. At the Surgical Centre, we value stimulating and varied work, and you will become part of a close-knit team with a strong sense of community. We encourage new ideas, maintain a positive work environment, and support each other. To facilitate the work of healthcare staff, we have supporting functions such as pharmacists, receptionists, kitchen assistants, and care-related services on the wards.

We place great importance on providing you with a good introduction and favorable conditions to thrive and develop with us. The onboarding process is individually tailored and lasts between 4 to 6 weeks. You have the opportunity to work according to a 3-3 schedule, which means approximately 88% working hours with full-time salary retention. As a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the region's introductory year for nurses, featuring regular meetings and training. We offer mentorship with trained mentors and scheduled time for reflection and education after the onboarding period.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe. You will work within a broad surgical field involving highly specialized surgery and emergency care. Here, we treat both patients who have undergone planned surgeries and those seeking emergency care.

As a nurse, you play a crucial role in the care team, where you are jointly responsible for daily care, nutrition, mobilization, wound care, and other tasks. You work closely with the patient, identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating the patient's various care needs. You will have an important role in leading, prioritizing, and coordinating care work together with your care team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in surgery or emergency care is considered an asset.
