Job Description

As a nurse on C116, you care for patients pre- and postoperatively in connection with advanced vascular surgical procedures, such as endovascular interventions and open surgeries of the aorta, arteries, and veins. Some of the most common conditions are peripheral arterial disease (limb ischemia), aneurysm, and carotid stenosis. It is a learning and stimulating job! You work closely with other nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, secretaries, and dietitians. We have care coordinators who handle needs planning and a pharmacist who handles certain medication management, allowing you as a nurse to focus on your work with the patients.

We have daily check-ins and "Green Cross" reflection sessions during the day. This is to quickly identify patient risks and areas needing improvement, as well as to highlight what we do well!

The Team

For us, it is important to have a good work environment and strong teamwork. This means we all take responsibility for supporting, helping, and including each other. We help each other across care units, and there is always a colleague to ask when questions arise. All of this is to ensure you feel as secure as possible and settle into your role as a nurse with us.

There is a strong interest in driving development forward, evident in high participation in our APT (Work Environment and Quality) meetings and engagement in various areas of responsibility. We are proud of our ward and the care provided here! To maintain and develop the competence of our employees, we hold training APTs, study groups, journal clubs, and professional meetings several times a year.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Experience in surgical care is meritorious but not a requirement. You are welcome here whether you are newly graduated or have several years of experience in the profession!

You collaborate easily with your colleagues and have a professional attitude towards patients and relatives, as well as good empathy. You are confident, self-aware, and do not hesitate to ask for help when needed. In stressful situations, you remain calm and can reprioritize your work based on changing circumstances. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Application and Employment

We work with rolling selections, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

Before employment in a patient-facing role within Region Östergötland, you will be asked to fill out a health declaration.
