Job Description
We are looking for you who want to work with the elderly and contribute to increasing staff knowledge about the living conditions of older people, as well as contributing to raising the pedagogical and theoretical competence needed to satisfactorily meet the needs of the elderly from a holistic perspective.
Common tasks for a Senior Care Pedagogue:
- Act as a support for management.
- Supervise specialist assistant nurses.
- Responsibility for activities. This may involve coming up with ideas where you plan and participate in activities for our residents. This applies to both ward-specific and joint activities, both indoors and outdoors, including excursions, etc.
- Supervisory role in the facility's Operational Team (OPT).
- Be present and visible on the wards.
- Daily pulse meetings.
- Multidisciplinary teams, Senior Alert, and Quality Council.
- Investigate and propose measures regarding deviations and feedback.
- Development responsibility for nursing staff representatives and areas of responsibility.
- Chair resident councils.
- First point of contact for next-of-kin contacts.
- Admission and discharge processes.
- Log checks and prepare various materials for analysis and development.
- Follow up on compliance with routines, social documentation, activity systems, etc.
- Trainer.
At our workplace, you work full-time on weekdays with flexible working hours based on operational needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have leadership qualities and are confident in your professional role, have a positive attitude towards development, can work independently, and are responsible. You must be able to contribute concrete methods and tools to work in a motivating, supportive, and health-promoting manner in the daily social work with the elderly. We place great importance on personal qualities such as the ability to listen and encourage, and flexibility. You have a genuine interest in working with people with a focus on health.
You will be part of an operational team where you will have a supervisory role, so we are looking for inspiring team players for this group. You should be creative in the sense that you see opportunities instead of obstacles. You also need good structure in your administrative work. Since collaboration and participation are important ingredients, you should be unpretentious and enjoy working together with other departments and support functions. Basic requirements for this position are that you have:
- University Degree: You must have passed grades from a Senior Care Pedagogue education or equivalent education, such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or social pedagogue.
- Category B driver's license with access to a car.
- Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
- High computer literacy.
It is also meritorious if you have further education in geriatrics or dementia care, and experience working with people with dementia and BPSD is seen as meritorious.

This recruitment uses rolling selection.
We report the salary for the 10th and 90th percentile: 41,215 - 43,790 SEK/month. The salary interval is stated in accordance with current regulations on salary transparency.
