Job Responsibilities
As a recreation leader, you plan and carry out activities at the after-school center together with your colleagues to stimulate and challenge students' development and learning. Through your work, you contribute to offering students a meaningful leisure time, promoting diverse interactions, social cohesion, and strengthening group relationships. You work actively based on core values and equal treatment, keeping the student's prerequisites and needs in focus. You will be part of our work team for grades 4–6 at the after-school center, as well as a resource in a fifth-grade class. You strive to create a sense of security for the students during school and leisure time. One day a week, you are responsible for recess activities for middle school students. At Glasbruksskolan, we strive for a good learning environment and an inclusive approach. Together, we create a operation that meets our students and guardians in the best possible way based on their individual needs!
Qualifications
You who apply have a recreation leader education, or alternatively another pedagogical education assessed as equivalent. Experience working as a recreation leader and working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is meritorious. As a person, you have the ability to contribute to the pedagogical work at the after-school center with the aim of stimulating and challenging students' development and learning. You work based on the students' needs and prerequisites and design activities within the operation's goals.
For you, it is obvious to offer students a meaningful leisure time and promote diverse interactions, social cohesion, and strengthen group relationships. Furthermore, you work actively for the operation's core values and equal treatment.
About the Workplace
Glasbruksskolan is a grades F–6 school in Limhamn with highly qualified teachers and experienced school leadership. The school was inaugurated in 2016 and has 22 classes and approximately 560 students. The school is located in a fantastic environment near Ribersborg beach, which, with its unique nature of sea and large green areas, offers opportunities for varied learning environments. We have a good community that we have built through a belief in co-leadership, where everyone is allowed and expected to contribute to development. We are constantly working on our pedagogical development work, and the main focus this year is good teaching and an accessible learning environment for all students in all our operations.
