We train personnel in the Swedish nuclear power sector, deliver nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develop and execute projects and assignments, and provide internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This involves activities such as the development and provision of training, project management and support, analysis leadership and investigations, product development, as well as nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments.
The focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected technical key disciplines. We actively work on continuous improvement initiatives and the development of our models, where our work and competence create significant value for Vattenfall and its investments.
About the Role
Do you want to shape the development of KSU, contribute to, and ensure competence for the future of nuclear power? Join our team!
KSU, Nuclear Safety and Education AB, ensures the competence of personnel at Swedish nuclear power plants through both theoretical education and practical training in full-scale simulators. The company is in a development phase, and we see an exciting future in ensuring competence for long-term and new nuclear power operations.
The operations are conducted from our headquarters in Nyköping as well as from our training facilities located near the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals. KSU, with approximately 180 employees, is co-owned by Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, OKG AB, and Ringhals AB, and is part of the Vattenfall Group under Business Unit Vattenfall Power Solutions (VPS).
You will step into an exciting time and have the opportunity to be a key cog in creating KSU's future, contributing to a sustainable future, and ensuring competence for the nuclear power of tomorrow.
Here, you will become part of a unit consisting of two new groups, Digital Methodology and Joint Education, which serve as a central support for competence development and education within KSU. We are responsible for developing courses for the entire Swedish nuclear power industry and actively work to strengthen quality, pedagogy, and digital learning. Through our work, we also help shape the strategy for digital competence development among our instructors.
We know that our employees are the key to our success. Your development is important to us, and we always encourage you to utilize your knowledge and provide opportunities for growth through new challenges, training, and knowledge transfer. Here, you are trusted to act with great freedom and personal responsibility, which, combined with good working conditions and mutual trust, provides high flexibility and a balance between work and private life.
Your Responsibilities
As an instructor/teacher with us, you will have a varied and developmental role where you plan, develop, and conduct training for several different target groups – both internally and externally.
You will hold courses included in our course portfolio, where we are responsible for training directed at Swedish nuclear power plants. This includes, among other things, training for internal teachers, supervisor training, and overarching nuclear power education. This may involve creating an understanding of how nuclear power plants are structured, conveying basic technical principles, or describing how materials and components are affected and age over time.
An important part of the assignment is also to train our employees internally. You contribute both as a resource in our instructor training program and by holding internal pedagogical courses. The role also includes supporting and quality-assuring their development, for example, in connection with certifications.
Furthermore, the role involves educating and collaborating with our external customers, as well as contributing to the development of our course offerings.
As an instructor, you are a key pedagogical resource who supports and coaches participants in their learning. You work with varied methods – from classroom teaching to digital tools and interactive methods – to create engaging and effective training.
We place great emphasis on continuously developing our methods and would welcome your ideas and innovative thinking on how we can use pedagogy and digitalization to meet future competence needs.
