About the Department

The Oncology Clinic consists of an outpatient clinic/day care unit, a clinical trial unit, radiotherapy, and an inpatient ward. Patients come to the outpatient clinic for decision-making and follow-up of oncological treatment: chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Chemotherapy is administered at the day care unit. The radiotherapy department has two linear accelerators and provides radiotherapy to patients from all administrations in the county as well as to patients from Jämtland County according to a regional agreement. Isotope treatment is also performed at the clinic. Symptom-relieving treatment, such as pain relief, treatment of infections, and nausea, is provided on the inpatient ward.
