About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Job Description
We are now looking for a Technical IT Project Manager for the Operations and Infrastructure unit. The Prison and Probation Service's IT environment is extensive and varied, ranging from modern infrastructure to systems we develop ourselves. The unit is in an exciting phase of change where new services are being established and the IT department's organization and mission are growing in the coming years. As a Technical IT Project Manager, you will have good opportunities to further develop the IT department's operations. You will be a key player in contributing to the technical shifts we need to implement, which involves driving and implementing technical changes. Together with technicians, service managers, architects, and other stakeholders, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that projects are delivered according to set goals.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is good at building contacts and maintaining relationships. You inspire, take initiative, and encourage reflection and participation, while also being a stable leader with good problem-solving skills. We also expect you to have strong communication skills, where you motivate and lead your project participants and, through trust, provide others with the conditions necessary to efficiently achieve common goals and deliver results in your projects.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree/university degree or experience that the Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
- Experience in leadership roles within technical areas, such as project manager / group manager / team leader
- Well-recognized experience in project and personnel management
- Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
The following are also meritorious:
- Documented leadership training
- Documented Project Management training
- Relevant experience from public sector operations
- Experience of leadership in a technical organization
- Experience working with IT infrastructure
- Experience working in complex IT environments
- Experience with ITIL
- Experience with procurement according to LOU (Public Procurement Act)
- Relevant language skills
- Knowledge of IT security
