The Municipal Executive Office leads, develops, and supports the municipality's entire organization and operations in accordance with current legislation and guidelines. The Workplace

The Unit for Sustainable Development, organizationally part of the Growth and Business Department under the Municipal Executive Office, is the municipality's central and strategic resource for sustainable development. The unit is responsible for steering and support regarding sustainability issues and collaborates internally as well as with external actors on matters related to sustainability.

The municipality's energy and climate advice is located within the Unit for Sustainable Development. We provide citizens, businesses, and organizations with independent and free information so they can make good decisions regarding energy and climate. Trelleborg Municipality is responsible for the energy and climate advice provided in Trelleborg, Burlöv, Vellinge, and Skurup municipalities. We currently have a fixed-term position where you, together with another energy and climate advisor, will help develop these municipalities in a sustainable way.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment and interest in energy and climate issues. As an Energy and Climate Advisor, you provide citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises, associations, and organizations with independent and free information. You are responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and developing the municipality's advice for these target groups.

Advice is provided via email, phone, site visits, fairs, and other events, covering areas such as heating systems, solar cells, insulation, energy preparedness, etc. You disseminate information about the advice through available channels and highlight the effects of the advice and important results achieved, both internally and externally to citizens and operators. The role involves both internal collaboration with colleagues and external collaboration with other municipalities, the County Administrative Board, and other actors such as Energikontor Syd, Region Skåne, and academia. You will work both independently and in project groups on various development issues. You have good opportunities to initiate, lead, and run your own projects and campaigns related to your area of responsibility.

You have a professional and service-oriented approach, treating all those seeking advice equally based on their respective needs.

Together with a colleague, you will be responsible for the advice in Trelleborg, Burlöv, Vellinge, and Skurup municipalities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree from university or university college in energy, engineering, climate and/or environmental science, or another area deemed relevant by the employer. You have knowledge of energy systems and various energy technical solutions, as well as the connection between climate impact and transport, energy use, and consumption.

Previous work experience from energy and climate advice or equivalent work is meritorious.

To be successful in the role, your personal qualities and abilities are of great importance. We are looking for you who have the ability to plan and independently organize and prioritize your work, are driven, solution-oriented, and take initiative. The role requires that you can switch between different issues, big and small, by working in a structured, systematic, and goal-oriented manner.

Since the assignment involves close collaboration with both internal and external actors, good collaboration skills and the personal ability to create engagement and enthusiasm around energy issues and sustainability in general are required. You are confident in the advisory and lecturing role, both physically and digitally, and understand the importance of working broadly with all aspects of climate issues.

You have a good understanding of English, in addition to speaking and writing Swedish very well.

A Category B driver's license is required.
