Are you an experienced press officer looking for a new assignment immediately? We are currently seeking a press officer for a consultancy assignment within the public sector for our client in central Stockholm.

About the role:

As a press officer, you are responsible for both proactive and reactive media management, providing support to journalists, managers, and employees on media matters. You act as a spokesperson, write press releases and other communicative texts, and convey complex issues in a clear and target-group-adapted manner. The role also involves monitoring the external environment, media analysis, and close collaboration with the communications department and other operations. If needed, you also work on other communication initiatives and are prepared to be available outside regular office hours.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in communication or equivalent. You have at least three years of experience in strategic and operational communication and media work in roles such as communicator, press officer, press chief, or press secretary in the public sector.

Additionally, you have:

• Extensive experience acting as a spokesperson and representing an organization in contact with the media
• Extensive experience writing press releases
• Experience planning, implementing, and developing strategic and operational communication initiatives
• Experience supporting spokespersons before media interviews
• Very good knowledge of Swedish – both spoken and written
