Description

Maintenance and Transport performs a wide variety of maintenance tasks for all operations within the Child and Education Administration, and to some extent for other operations. Within the unit, we work in work teams where we help each other. As a handyman/maintenance worker, you will have many internal and external contacts.

Job Responsibilities

As a handyman/maintenance worker, you should be able to perform minor repairs and carry out systematic fire safety and occupational health and safety inspections. The position may involve school transport with a minibus, food transport to other units, waste management, patrols, and other maintenance tasks. The work involves working in a team with other maintenance workers within the Child and Education Administration. You must also be able to plan and execute the work independently while being responsive to others' requests and having good communication skills. The work schedule is Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:30. The organizational placement is within Maintenance and Transport, and you will be based at one of our school/preschool areas. Currently, this position is based in Hamburgsund.

Qualifications

Upper secondary education, basic computer skills, a Category B driver's license, and access to a personal car are required. You value building good relationships with the people you meet in your work and show care and engagement. You are a meticulous organizer who takes significant personal responsibility for your assignments. The work requires you to be able to work systematically through routines, but also to be flexible as operations sometimes need to make quick changes. You are solution-oriented and creative, contributing to solving emerging problems through a trusting approach. The work requires physical mobility and good physical fitness. Personal suitability is highly valued. Previous experience from maintenance or property management is meritorious.

Duration and Scope

Permanent employment at 100% with a start date of 2026-09-01 or by agreement. Probationary employment may apply.
