The Role of Assistant Nurse, Care Assistant, and Aide with us

As an assistant nurse, care assistant, or aide, you will meet people with different needs – in their own homes. The work varies and can consist of everything from personal care and daily support to simpler medical interventions. No day is the same, and that is exactly what makes the job stimulating, meaningful, and far from boring.

Our geographical area currently extends from Älvsåker and Anneberg towards Björkris. From April 1st, the area will be further expanded to reach down to Lygnern. This means even more variation in the workday, with different environments and more meetings with people in various life situations. You will have the opportunity to perform health and medical care interventions after instruction and delegation from a nurse.

Your Profile

Aside from liking and being interested in people, we require diligence, flexibility, and stress tolerance. We would like you to be a positive and calm person who is also solution-oriented, sees opportunities in changes, takes initiative, and brings suggestions for new approaches. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who:

• are 18 years or older
• express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work
• hold a Category B driver's license

Our Offer and Other Information

Day/Evening every other weekend: The position is full-time or according to agreement. Within the Department of Care & Social Services, all employees in home care and care and social housing are employed at 100% engagement, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their engagement to the desired level based on the needs of the operation.

Permanent Weekend: We offer a permanent employment where the weekend assignment is time-limited for six months with a chance of extension. The engagement level is 71 or 85 percent with working hours scheduled for weekends and surrounding days, as well as time for workplace meetings (APT).

Before an employment offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. The type of record extract to be requested is Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities. Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities, e-service | The Swedish Police Authority.

Background checks may be conducted before employment.

From July 1, 2023, "Assistant Nurse" is a protected professional title.

Therefore, when employed as an assistant nurse, you need to present proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title assistant nurse. Apply now if you do not already have one.
