About the position

In Örebro, the association life is important in many ways. Every day, a variety of association activities are carried out that contribute to people meeting, creating new relationships and experiences, learning democratic values, and getting physical stimulation. Örebro Municipality has approximately 58 indoor halls of various sizes, 4 ice surfaces, 8 artificial turf pitches, and approximately 28 football pitches of various sizes, and we have around 170,000 booked hours per year in our facilities.

We are now looking for an engaged, structured, and driven Leisure Consultant who will be responsible for ensuring that association life has access to functional sports halls and sports facilities to carry out their operations.

In your role, you contribute to making a difference in people's daily lives and promoting health, community, and well-being for as many as possible. You contribute to the conditions for citizens and visitors to have the opportunity for an active and meaningful leisure time that builds strong individuals as well as a strong society. As a Leisure Consultant, you meet and support several of Örebro Municipality's sports associations and work closely with colleagues and partners within and outside the Culture and Leisure Administration. You also collaborate with other administrations and companies within Örebro Municipality, as well as other organizations and the business community.

Examples of tasks:

• Contact with associations and facility issues.
• Conduct inspections and order measures at our sports facilities.
• Plan and conduct meetings with associations and other information efforts for larger and smaller groups.
• Support in planning maintenance, upkeep, and development of facilities as an expert in facility issues.
• Participate in budgeting, invoicing, and follow-up, and work in the business system Raindance.
• Produce text materials and calculations in Office 365.
• Work in the business system InterbookGo linked to the facilities.

You may also work with various tasks within the assignment, e.g., booking of sports halls and facilities, association grants, and other association support that we work with within the unit.

About the workplace

The Support, Development, and Collaboration Unit within the Culture and Leisure Administration is based in Citypassagen, right next to the Travel Center in central Örebro. Citypassagen has fresh, airy, and modernly designed workspaces where we work in an activity-based manner. This means there are different zones depending on the tasks to be performed; e.g., quiet zone when you need to focus, active zone when you need to have active dialogue with your colleagues, and normal zone for regular individual work. A total of 18 people work at the unit, of whom 10 work primarily with association support issues. Your closest colleagues will be four people who work focused on facilities and bookings.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to be flexible, secure, and stable as a person, and able to work well with other people. You have a sense for the practical, enjoy being outdoors as well as indoors, and work equally well in a group and independently. You need to be calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, but also able to make decisions that you can clearly explain and justify to the parties involved. Since the position involves a mix of fast operational issues and a more long-term perspective, you need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively to keep many balls in the air at the same time. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish, express yourself well in speech and writing regarding both conversations and decision-making materials. You also have computer skills with experience working in various IT systems.

Requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education.
• Experience in operating and maintaining facilities and premises.
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission cars.
• Experience working with the Office package and various business systems.

Merits:

Scope and start date

Employment type: Fixed-term contract (Maternity/Parental leave cover)

Since the position involves working in premises where children are present, an extract from the criminal record register must be presented before an offer of employment.
