Transport is part of Operational Services, which is a part of Regionservice. Here, we transport everything from packages, laundry, and meals within the hospitals, as well as between hospitals and to e.g., health centers. We also perform patient transports within the hospitals.

Your Responsibilities

Your duties as a Transport Technician / Hospital Caretaker involve working in a team, where you become an important "cog" in the team responsible for virtually all transports within the hospital.

Transport also handles numerous transports between hospitals and health centers throughout and in parts of Sörmland.

As a Transport Technician / Hospital Caretaker, you work with transports of patients, goods, laundry, mail, and food.

Transport is also responsible for the hospital's inventory management, transport of deceased persons as well as the mortuary, and takes care of the hospital's waste.

We are also responsible for an extended assignment at the hospital's emergency department, where we perform among other things patient transports. The transport working hours at the emergency department are 13–22, every day of the week.

Thanks to job rotation, the work offers great opportunities for variation in tasks within the Transport South team at Nyköping Hospital.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who hold a Category B driver's license and can drive manual transmission vehicles.

We are looking for you who are self-initiating but also function well in a group.

We are looking for you who are flexible and stress-resistant, as this is a job that sometimes involves rapid changes, meaning you can quickly adapt to the changes required.

You need to have good physical fitness, as the work involves walking many steps each shift and some heavy lifting.

Due to the importance of ensuring patient safety in our operations, we require very good Swedish skills in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension.

We value good service sense and loyalty! We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment as needed, with start date by agreement.

Working hours: every day of the week between 07:00–22:00, weekend shifts occur.
