Job Responsibilities

As a Plant Operator (Drifttekniker) for Water and Wastewater, you are responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants within Sörmland Vatten's area of operation. The department's mission is to ensure efficient operation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of our facilities for production and processes within drinking water, wastewater, and biogas. We focus on achieving the highest possible availability and quality, while taking into account economy, environment, safety, and other important requirements.

As a Plant Operator with us, you will:

• Monitor and maintain operations and processes at our water and wastewater treatment plants, biogas facilities, and pumping stations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Diagnose and rectify technical faults and operational disruptions.
• Conduct sampling and analysis of water quality and take measures to meet legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and safety regulations.
• Contribute to projects for the improvement and optimization of our facilities.
• The work requires in-depth knowledge and skills in all processes related to water purification.

Qualifications

The role requires a high degree of safety awareness, independence, responsibility, problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze data in both oral and written information and instructions.

Similarly, there are high demands on the ability to perform both statutory and workplace-specific documentation clearly and correctly, as well as to report and inform others orally.

Education:

University college degree or other education deemed relevant for the position.

Meritorious: Svenskt Vatten's training for plant operators.

Experience:

Experience from a similar position in process technology or equivalent knowledge.
