Job Description

As an Operations Technician for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant, you are responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities within Sörmland Vatten's area of operation. The department's mission is to ensure efficient operation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of our facilities for production and processes related to drinking water, wastewater, and biogas. We focus on achieving the highest possible availability and quality, while taking into account economy, environment, safety, and other important requirements.

As an operations technician with us, your tasks include:

• Monitoring and maintaining operations and processes at our water and wastewater treatment plants, biogas facilities, and pumping stations.
• Performing routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical faults and operational disruptions.
• Conducting sampling and analysis of water quality and taking measures to meet legal requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental laws and safety regulations.
• Contributing to projects for the improvement and optimization of our facilities.
• The role requires in-depth knowledge and skills in all processes related to water treatment.

Qualifications

The role requires a high degree of safety awareness, independence, responsibility, problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze data in both oral and written information and instructions.

Similarly, high demands are placed on the ability to perform both statutory and workplace-specific documentation clearly and correctly, as well as to report and inform others verbally.

Education

• Vocational college education or other education deemed relevant for the position.
• Meritorious: Svenskt Vatten's training for operations technicians.

Experience

• Experience from a similar position within process technology or equivalent knowledge.
