Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Production Engineer for a long-term assignment in Västerås. In this role, you will work in a production-proximity environment where you are responsible for ensuring efficient production with a focus on working environment, quality, and delivery precision. You will become an important part of the operations and continuously work on analyzing, developing, and improving production processes in close collaboration with various functions.

Responsibilities

As a Production Engineer, you work closely with line technicians, operators, and other support functions to ensure an efficient production flow. You participate in regular meetings with line managers and support functions to follow up on current activities and priorities, and you drive improvement work within production. The role also includes responsibility for developing assembly methods, creating and updating work instructions, and conducting and maintaining PFMEA. You ensure that the right tools and equipment are available at the correct workstations and meet the company's requirements. As needed, you contribute to problem-solving and technical support to ensure a stable and efficient production flow.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer with a focus on the development of assembly production.

  • A Master of Science degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems.

  • Good knowledge of Lean Production.

  • Good understanding of World Class Manufacturing.

  • Ability to work in a structured manner and take significant personal responsibility.

  • Good collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally.

  • A strong drive for improvement and the ability to work solution-oriented in a production environment.

Merits:

Conditions
  • Location: Västerås

  • Work Mode: On-site (0% remote work)

  • Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week

  • Assignment Period: October 5, 2026 – October 4, 2027

  • Start: As soon as possible or by agreement
