Are you a business controller driven by development? Now you have the chance to develop and coordinate the municipality's processes within business and economic management together with a flat-hierarchy team!
About the position
As a business controller, you play a key role in the municipality's overall follow-up work. You coordinate processes related to interim reports and annual reports, are responsible for documentation and scheduling, and ensure that supporting materials are of good quality and delivered on time. This position also involves maintaining contact with our layout company, which handles the printed product for the annual report. In addition, you work with case processing, preparing decision support materials, and developing working methods, templates, and support materials. You are responsible for the preparation and processing of service cases within your area of responsibility, for example, related to internal controls where you plan and follow up. You may also be asked to give presentations in committees. We work in a team-based manner, and you will have both your own areas of responsibility and tasks shared with your closest colleagues.
Examples of tasks:
- Provide support in both business and economic management.
- Be responsible for documentation in the follow-up process, create schedules, and coordinate writers.
- Read, analyze, and process texts and materials, ensuring content aligns with current recommendations in the field.
- Process and administer cases in case management systems.
- Create and coordinate schedules, annual calendars, follow-up templates, and documentation.
- Manage and quality-assure models and materials, such as statistics, as well as quality-assure data and materials.
About the workplace
Örebro Municipality's large finance department provides support in economic and business management as well as accounting. We are divided into four units with a total of approximately 75 employees. The long-term goal is to digitize, automate, and standardize work across the entire economic process to free up more time to proactively support managers with analysis, leadership, and decision support.
The Unit for Overall Economy consists of seven colleagues with controller or strategic roles, along with the Finance Director. Your closest colleagues include strategists, economic controllers, and business controllers. We are based at the City Hall and offer the possibility to perform part of the work remotely, as well as working with annualized hours where you control your own working hours based on the needs of the business.
