Psychologist for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Hudiksvall

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic (BUP) in Hudiksvall consists of approximately 24 employees. Our mandate is to assess, investigate, and treat children and young people (0–17 years) with moderate to severe mental health issues. The clinic in Hudiksvall covers northern Hälsingland. Our team includes doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, counselors, a mobile team, occupational therapists, and secretaries.

Job Responsibilities

To provide high-quality and comprehensive care for our patients, we primarily work in teams to create a creative environment with diverse competencies and knowledge perspectives. We offer a broad range of treatments based on various theoretical models. A significant part of the job involves neuropsychiatric investigations, as BUP is responsible for investigating all neuropsychiatric conditions and autism spectrum disorders in children over the age of six.

For those completing the Psychologist Practical Training (PTP), we offer a structured introduction, regular supervision, and opportunities to participate in training and internal development projects.

As a psychologist/PTP-psychologist with us, you will primarily work with:

• Investigations/Assessments
• Treatment
• Psychoeducational work, both individually and in groups

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who collaborates well with others and is accommodating, calm, and empathetic in their interactions. You take responsibility for your tasks and plan and organize your work efficiently. We value a genuine interest in working with people in various life situations.

As a psychologist/PTP-psychologist, you must:

• Be a licensed psychologist or hold a psychology degree and be ready to begin your PTP training
• Communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing

For this position, experience working with children, young people, and their families and/or within psychiatry is considered an asset.
