Pre- and Postoperative Ward and Recovery Unit (UVA)

The Pre- and Postoperative Ward and Recovery Unit (UVA) is part of Central Operation Hudiksvall. Here, planned and emergency procedures within anesthesia and operating care are performed for both children (from 1 year of age) and adults. We provide service to all operations at Hudiksvall Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the Pre- and Postoperative Ward/UVA, you will work with:

• Pre- and postoperative care.
• Ensuring and handling the medical technical equipment specific to the unit.
• Preparing and administering medications based on general directives or specific prescriptions.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, during day and evening shifts.

As part of the unit's staffing and competence development, four weeks of rotational duty within the 24/7 operation is included. Rotation may also occur during other periods depending on operational needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are proactive, flexible, and have a holistic view of your work. You should also have good collaboration skills. Experience from pre- and postoperative care weighs heavily in this recruitment, as does your willingness to develop by completing the course Nursing in Postoperative and Surgical Intermediate Care for Nurses (7.5 ECTS).

In the role of a nurse, you must:

• Be a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare.
• Have language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. This can also mean a passing grade in Swedish 3, alternatively a passing grade in Swedish as a Second Language 3, or a passing result on a course in Swedish for non-Nordic students equivalent to 60 ECTS.

For this position, professional experience in the field is meritorious.
