Psychologist for Child and Family Health/Youth Clinic in Söderhamn

The Child and Family Health/Youth Clinic in Söderhamn is a psychosocial service targeting expectant parents, children aged 0–17, and their parents. The clinic serves as a first point of contact for expectant parents or children whose concerns stem from family situations or the child themselves. The service collaborates with the Söderhamn Youth Clinic as primary care for children and young people with mental health issues in the 0–17 age group.

We are now seeking a psychologist for our psychosocial team for Child and Family Health/Youth Clinic in southern Hälsingland, based in Söderhamn. Interventions are offered according to stepped care. Working as a psychologist with us involves contact with children, their parents, as well as pregnant and newly delivered parents.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a psychologist with us is varied and educational, where you work both independently and in collaboration with other colleagues.

As a psychologist with us, you will among other things work with:

• Early interventions to prevent mental health issues in children and expectant parents.
• Needs-adapted treatments for mild to moderate mental health issues at the individual and family level.
• Developmental assessments for children up to five years old.
• Supervision of midwives at the midwife clinic and nurses at the Child Health Center (BVC).

Qualifications

In the role of psychologist, you must be a licensed psychologist.

For this position, it is meritorious if you have knowledge within trauma, maternal healthcare, and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders). Experience working with children, autism assessments, anxiety/depression, as well as experience as a supervisor or group leader, is also considered meritorious. It is also meritorious if you are trained in parental support or have basic psychotherapeutic education step 1 CBT, as well as experience in treatment work with children and young people, and knowledge within child psychiatry. Good knowledge in developmental and neuropsychology and/or autism is also meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
