We are undergoing the transition required for good and close care, where demographics show increased care needs. For some time now, we have reorganized our working methods and organization with the aim of a sustainable work environment and patient safety over time. We have organized ourselves into functional assignments. We have a common care queue, and together with rehabilitation colleagues, incoming care needs are handled and prioritized. The work is structured yet flexible. We operate on the principle of equal care regardless of housing type or geographical area. The work consists of both teamwork with joint assessments and independent work based on priority, competence, and availability.

Responsibilities

The assignment includes responsibility for:

• Patient work involving assessments, prescriptions, and fittings based on the prescription process. Person-centered health and social care, where the patient has significant involvement in the goals of our interventions.
• Interprofessional collaboration based on the needs of the current patient case and conditions, for example with nurses, quality assistant nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, assistant nurses, and internal case handlers. But also with external actors and healthcare providers.
• Leadership within your profession. We work extensively through the nursing staff whom you lead, support, and motivate through your knowledge.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• You must have good oral and written communication skills in Swedish at the level required to perform regular job duties.
• In this role, you must have a B-driver's license (manual transmission) as patient work involves home visits throughout Karlshamn Municipality.

It is an advantage if you have experience within the profession, municipal rehabilitation, and/or other healthcare providers.
