About Us

The Transport Department in Karlshamn is part of the Service Area within Region Blekinge, where we work to support the region's operations with professional service. Our department consists of 10 dedicated employees who, together with our colleagues in Karlskrona, are responsible for a large part of the region's transport services. We deliver everything from storage goods, mail, and samples to assistive devices, patient meals, laundry, and waste management on a daily basis.

Our operations run seven days a week, creating smooth workflows that allow Region Blekinge's other activities to focus on their important work. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our team and contribute to delivering top-class service!

About the Job

In the position at Transport in Karlshamn, you will help and support all operations within Region Blekinge in the area of transport. Your main tasks will consist of transporting materials, food, and textiles to various departments within the hospital area in Karlshamn, as well as transports to and from health centers and other Region Blekinge operations throughout the county. You will thus contribute to keeping the flow and logistics running, which is a crucial part of our service. The work can be physically demanding, and heavy lifting occurs.

The working hours for this position are during the day with weekend duties.

Region Blekinge mobilizes all permanent staff. Some of our positions are security-classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for you who have a completed and approved upper secondary education or other adequate education and experience that the employer deems equivalent, as well as at least a B driver's license. We consider it meritorious if you have a forklift license.

As a person, you are service-oriented and responsible. You enjoy working both independently and in a group and have a natural ability to meet people in a professional and pleasant manner. You are also flexible and adapt easily to new tasks and environments. Our corporate language is Swedish, and we are looking for you who can express yourself well in speech and writing.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

About Region Service

Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is Region Service. Here, resources are consolidated for regional properties, property technology, local cleaning, logistics, meal service, central warehouse, and customer service. Region Service's primary task is to own, manage, and develop Region Blekinge's properties and rented premises. The area also provides and develops service within local cleaning, meal, material, and textile supply.

The Logistics and Meal Service Unit consists of departments within kitchen and restaurant, café and shop, transport and maintenance, as well as the resource unit.
