In Gimo, next to Road 288 opposite Skäfthammar Church, lies Lärkbacken Elderly Care Facility. Lärkbacken has 46 apartments, and here reside elderly individuals requiring care with a focus on general nursing and psychiatric care.

Job Responsibilities

Here, you will be part of a care team built cross-professionally based on the individual's needs. The role includes tasks such as:

• Mentoring staff in collaboration with the responsible nurse,
• Mentoring colleagues based on BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia) and implementation plans,
• Responsible for conducting BPSD registration and writing action plans with follow-up and documentation in Viva,
• Compiling and reporting results for the business area to the manager and the Responsible Nurse,
• Together with the responsible manager, inventory needs for specific tasks and, in consultation with the manager, create a work plan for how the work should be carried out,
• Continuously report completed work to the manager according to the agreed plan,
• Assist the manager in the annual follow-up of set business goals,
• Participate in meetings with relatives/near ones at the special housing facility.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a Silvia Nurse (specialist nurse in geriatric care) or equivalent and have good computer skills for documentation as well as good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

You need to have documented practical experience in adapting care entirely according to the individual's unique needs, history, and remaining abilities. You must also have documented knowledge of working structurally for care free from coercion and restrictions.

Furthermore, you must have documented:

• Experience in training within your area of expertise,
• Experience in working with and registering in the Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) register, and
• Experience in leading groups for relatives, conversations, and guiding families through the disease process.

Experience from working in psychiatry is highly meritorious.
