About Us

The Surgical Clinic operates an extensive range of services within surgery (divided into pediatric and endocrine surgery, upper abdominal surgery, colorectal surgery, breast and melanoma surgery), urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology. In Karlskrona, we have two inpatient wards and outpatient care distributed across four different clinics, one of which is located in Karlshamn. We also have oncological day-care services, and a new endoscopy unit will open in the autumn of 2026. We also operate in radiology and the emergency department in Karlskrona, as well as on the operating departments in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Together, we are over 240 employees.

About the Job

We offer a varied and developing role within vascular surgery where you will combine clinic work, patient-centered nursing, and participation in endovascular interventions. Here, you will work in a highly specialized team with broad competence and great commitment, creating a work environment characterized by collaboration, development, and community.

As a nurse on our vascular section, you will have a varied and developing role where you are responsible for the nursing care and treatment of patients with vascular diseases. You will work with clinic visits, telephone advice, wound care, patient follow-up, and coordination before and after various examinations and treatments. Part of the role also involves assisting with endovascular interventions. The operations cover both planned, acute, and sub-acute care, meaning the workday can be varied and sometimes fast-paced. You will work in close collaboration with doctors and other professionals to provide patients with safe and secure care.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse or radiographer and are confident in your professional role. You enjoy working close to the patient and have an interest in a practice where advanced medical technology is a natural part of daily work.

You have a patient-focused approach, collaborate well with others, and contribute to a good work climate. At the same time, you are independent, flexible, and able to prioritize when the work pace varies. We also value that you have an interest in developing both yourself and the operations.

It is meritorious if you have experience in clinic work, surgical operations, or operating room activities. If you also have experience with endovascular interventions, we see this as an extra asset.

Other Information

Region Blekinge mobilizes all permanent staff in the event of war. Some of our positions are security-classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
