Do you have experience in transport administration or international logistics and thrive in an environment where precision, structure, and coordination are crucial? The Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is now looking for a Transport Planner specializing in national and international transport.
About the Unit
Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is responsible for providing logistics support to units, schools, and centers within the Swedish Armed Forces (FM), both nationally and internationally. FMLOG includes, among other things, the Swedish Armed Forces Transport Unit, which has functional leadership responsibility for the transport service within FMLOG and the task of coordinating the execution of the Armed Forces' strategic and operational transport of personnel, equipment, and entire units. Transport can be conducted via air, sea, road, and rail, both within and outside the country.
About the Section
The Land Planning Section, focusing on land transport, is part of the Transport Planning Department's organization, which has leadership responsibility for the execution of the transport service in land, sea, air, and rail transport. We plan, support, and monitor the Swedish Armed Forces' transports both within Sweden and internationally, including foreign transports and transits through the country.
Main Responsibilities
As a Transport Planner, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering transports, with a special focus on national and international transport flows. You will also work in the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics and command support systems, where registration, follow-up, and quality assurance of transport information constitute an important part of the duties. The role also includes participating in the development of methods and processes within the transport area to ensure an efficient and legally secure operation.
As the Swedish Armed Forces are in an expansive development phase, you are expected to actively contribute to the development of working methods and routines within transport and support in the customs area. The position also implies being prepared to participate in international exercises and operations when needed.
