Cook – Lysekil Municipality

Do you want to cook food that makes a difference every day?

In Lysekil Municipality's meal services, we prepare food that contributes to health, well-being, and learning. Every day, we serve nutritious and sustainable meals to children and students in our preschools and schools.

We are now looking for an engaged cook for one of our production kitchens.

About the position

As a cook, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, preparing, and serving delicious, high-quality meals. You are involved in the entire production process and contribute to developing our meals and working methods.

The duties include, among other things:

• Preparation and serving of meals
• Special diets and allergen-free meals
• Ordering and receiving goods
• Self-control and food hygiene according to HACCP
• Dishwashing, cleaning, and other common kitchen tasks
• Documentation in the organization's digital systems
• Active work to reduce food waste and promote sustainable meals

You have a genuine interest in cooking and enjoy working with meals that make a difference for our guests. You are responsible, quality-conscious, and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and other professions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Cook training or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience working in large kitchens, restaurants, or public meal services
• Knowledge of food hygiene, self-control, and HACCP
• Knowledge of special diets and allergens
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
