We are looking for a driven and service-oriented Assistant Reception Manager who wants to contribute to the development of our hotel operations in Mariestad.

The role is both operational and managerial. You work actively at the reception while supporting the Reception Manager and helping to lead daily operations. When the Reception Manager is not on site, you take responsibility for the operations and ensure that guests, staff, and routines function in the best possible way.

Responsibilities

• Lead and distribute daily work tasks at the reception.
• Work operationally with check-ins and check-outs, bookings, payments, phone, and email.
• Provide professional service and handle guest inquiries and complaints.
• Support, introduce, and follow up with reception staff.
• Ensure that routines, quality, and safety standards are followed.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, breakfast, restaurant, and other departments.
• Actively work on sales, upselling, and achieving high occupancy rates.
• Take charge of the reception when the Reception Manager is absent.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience from hotel reception or similar service operations.
• Is confident, solution-oriented, and able to make quick decisions.
• Can lead others while simultaneously working actively in operations.
• Is structured and maintains composure during intensive periods.
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English.
• Has good computer skills and preferably experience with hotel and booking systems.
• Can work flexibly on days, evenings, and weekends.
