Stenhagen Care and Residential Home specializes in caring for individuals with care needs and dementia. The facility accommodates 88 places distributed across four wards. Here, we work from a rehabilitative approach and engage in both large and small activities with our residents, from excursions to everyday moments, creating joy and security.

Your Role

As a Nursing Assistant with us, you will have varied tasks and play an important role in the daily interaction with our residents. You provide personal care and service that makes a difference in their daily lives, always respecting each individual's needs. You are responsible for planning and carrying out activities between meals that add value to the residents' lives. You also ensure that hygiene and care maintain a high quality.

Your responsibilities include:

• performing delegated health and medical care tasks
• documenting according to the Social Services Act
• collaborating closely with colleagues and licensed staff to develop both the operations and yourself
• maintaining good contact with residents, relatives, and other key persons in the resident's network
• working with palliative care in the final stages of life
• actively participating in teamwork regarding the residents

Your Background

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained Nursing Assistant with a protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements
• has good experience working with delegated tasks and feels comfortable in this role
• can independently and without hindrance communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. This is a requirement to ensure patient safety and correct documentation in the work.

Experience working in elderly care and organizing joint activities for the elderly is also meritorious.

As a person, you are proactive; you initiate activities and achieve results. Furthermore, you are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances, can quickly change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in changes. You also have good collaboration skills and work well with other people, relating to them in a listening and smooth manner, listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively. You are also service-oriented, calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, striving to deliver solutions.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

As of July 1, 2023, "Nursing Assistant" is a protected professional title. To use the title Nursing Assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate stating that you were permanently employed as a Nursing Assistant on July 1, 2023.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
