RESPONSIBILITIES

Rörviks School is a grades 1-9 school located in the countryside of Sävsjö Municipality. Approximately 200 students attend the school, and around 40 staff members work there. The school offers strong collegial support as we mentor, challenge, and listen to one another. We are looking for someone who loves working with children and wants to make a difference.

As a teacher for grades 4-6, you are responsible for the students' knowledge development and social development in close collaboration with colleagues.

We are seeking a teacher who can teach theoretical subjects in grades 4-6.

The role includes:

  • Planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in several subjects according to the curriculum.
  • Creating a safe, study-friendly, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Adapting teaching based on students' needs and prerequisites.
  • Monitoring and documenting students' knowledge development.
  • Working preventively and promotively for safety, well-being, and attendance.
  • Acting as a mentor/class teacher with responsibility for student contact and collaboration with guardians.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in work teams and subject teams.
  • Participating in the school's systematic quality work and development initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the student health team when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in grades 4-6.
  • Has broad subject qualifications, preferably in several of the theoretical subjects for lower secondary school.
  • Has good skills in planning and implementing teaching based on regulatory documents.
  • Works systematically and has clear leadership in the classroom.
  • Has good skills in creating safe and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
  • Has an inclusive approach and can adapt teaching to students' different needs.
  • Is flexible, team-oriented, and actively contributes to the school's development work.
  • Has good digital competence and uses digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

For us, it is very important to hire the right person for the right position. To be considered for this position, you must be willing to work at least 75%. To obtain a permanent position as a teacher in Sävsjö Municipality, a teaching license is required.

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10.
Working hours: Daytime.
