Job Description
The Swedish Museum of Natural History is now seeking an experienced Exhibition Producer for the Offerings Unit within the Public Activities Department.
In this role, you will project-manage the development, production, and implementation of exhibitions and other exhibition-related offerings. You will be responsible for the entire process from idea and concept to final production.
You will lead and coordinate the creative process, encompassing content, user-friendliness, interaction design, graphic expression, artistic, communicative, and pedagogical aspects, as well as the spatial design of the exhibition concept. You will work closely with colleagues across various disciplines within the museum and collaborate with external partners and suppliers.
Your responsibilities include planning and leading production teams, procuring services, monitoring budgets and schedules, and ensuring high quality in content, design, accessibility, and visitor experience. You will also contribute to the strategic development of the museum's exhibition activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A post-secondary education in relevant fields such as project management, production, design, or form, or equivalent education/experience as assessed by the employer.
- Several years of experience in project-managing and producing exhibitions, scenography, or similar activities within museums, science centers, or comparable public-facing operations.
- Experience leading teams or projects without formal HR responsibility.
- Experience leading and coordinating complex processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with production processes from concept development to final production.
- Experience in setting requirements, ordering, and coordinating external suppliers.
Desirable Qualifications
You will be considered an asset if you also have:
- Knowledge of natural sciences.
- Experience with user- or user-centered development and design.
- Experience in graphic design and spatial design.
- Experience in digital production of images, film, audio, or interactive applications.
- Experience with public procurement.
