As a technician at our client's company, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting freight trains, freight wagons, and their associated technical systems. The work is varied and includes both planned preventive maintenance and more advanced technical interventions. You will work both independently and as part of a team, becoming a crucial person in ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and with high reliability. About the Role

Our client is an established Swedish logistics company strongly focused on sustainable and climate-smart transport. By combining modern technology, high safety standards, and environmental awareness, they are helping to drive the development of future logistics solutions.

You will initially be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at our client's site during the first 6 months. The goal is a long-term solution where you may eventually be hired directly by the client.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair of freight trains, freight wagons, and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in mechanical and technical systems
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure high operational reliability
• Document completed work and report any deviations
• Participate in improvement projects and contribute to the development of working methods and routines
• Contribute to a safe and efficient transport flow

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience and interest in mechanics and technical work
• Is hands-on and enjoys problem-solving
• Approaches work in a solution-oriented and responsible manner
• Works well in teams and maintains a safety-conscious mindset
• Has good proficiency in Swedish

It would be an advantage if you have:

• Experience or education in technology, vehicles, industry, workshop environments, or similar fields
• Experience with welding and/or turning
• Forklift and/or overhead crane licenses
• Experience with maintenance systems or documentation management
