Do you want to combine operational payroll work with development and digitalization in a business where development and improvement are high on the agenda?
Björkdalsgruvan is about to introduce a new HR system and is now looking for a Payroll Specialist who wants to take a key role in developing our payroll function and contribute to a modern and value-creating HR organization.
Here, you will have a role where you are responsible for quality in daily work and drive development that makes a real difference in the business.
Your role – where operations meet development
As a Payroll Specialist, you, together with a colleague, have overall responsibility for the payroll process and work closely with the business in a broad and independent function. You are part of the HR, Payroll and Communication department and report to the HR Manager. You will become part of a team of three colleagues, where the HR function consists of two HR specialists and an administrator, working closely together in daily operations.
During the initial period, you will also play a central role in the implementation of a new HR system, driving the project forward together with internal and external stakeholders.
Thereafter, the role transitions primarily to a Payroll Specialist with continued system responsibility.
Your responsibilities
The role includes among other things:
- Overall responsibility for the payroll process together with a colleague, including payroll runs and related deliveries
- Ensure correct payroll management according to laws and collective agreements
- Support managers and employees in payroll and employment law matters
- Responsible for reporting, statistics, and quality assurance
- Participate in the development of working methods, routines, and processes
Within the HR system area (initial phase):
- Lead the implementation of a new HR system
- Responsible for requirement specification and coordination with the supplier
- Plan and conduct training initiatives
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is confident in their competence within the payroll area and thrives in a role where you work both operationally and developmentally, while contributing to good collaboration with colleagues.
You have:
- Several years of experience in qualified payroll work
- Good system proficiency in payroll/HR systems
- Good knowledge of employment law related to payroll
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with system implementation
- Project management experience
- Experience from industry or collective agreement-based operations

- Structured, precise, and quality-conscious

- Driving in improvement work
