The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is a county clinic with reception units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The county clinic also includes the BUP (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) inpatient care located in Umeå. Within the clinic, we work in cross-professional teams, and our work is carried out in close collaboration with the patient's family and other networks. We are now looking for an assistant nurse for our inpatient care in Umeå.

We are driven by the desire to provide accessible, efficient, and equitable care for children with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions, utilizing our specialist competence and warm reception.

Our strength lies in our cross-functional working methods and our positive attitude towards new ideas and the development of operations. We also have close cooperation with schools, social services, and other clinics within the healthcare system to view the patient from a holistic perspective.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

In cross-professional teams, we plan and implement care and treatment based on the patient's needs. We have close cooperation with relatives, schools, social services, and other clinics within the healthcare system. The work involves a lot of dialogue with patients and guardians – both based on manual-based, psycho-pedagogical material and in everyday supportive conversations. At our clinic, this may also include performing somatic status checks, drug screening, and sample collection. We value collegial support and work based on RESIMA – a method to create an environment that functions in the best possible way and minimizes the risk of threats and violence, both for patients and staff. You are offered supervision and further training based on the needs of the operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and are interested in working in inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry. Experience in the profession is meritorious. We want you to be engaged and have a strong sense of teamwork, seeing opportunities and solutions, as you have an important role in our team. You have the ability to prioritize between different tasks. The work requires that you have good cooperation skills and high flexibility.

Since "assistant nurse" is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), or alternatively an employment certificate that ensures you are covered by the National Board of Health and Welfare's transitional provisions and can use the title until June 30, 2033.
