We offer you stimulating work with the patient in focus. Your upcoming tasks include, among other things, hearing habilitation with needs assessment, including interventions of both basic and extended nature, as well as diagnostic measurements for the ear clinic.
The hearing care clinic in Kalmar is well-staffed, but since we are a region with one of the country's oldest populations, we are strengthening our team to meet the residents' need for audiologists.
Working hours are Monday to Friday during the day. Probationary employment may apply.
If you currently live in another county and intend to move here permanently, we can assist you in finding housing.
About you
We are looking for you who are a licensed audiologist with a focus on both children and adults.
The work requires great precision and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which demands high social competence as well as being pedagogical and communicative as a person. You enjoy taking responsibility, structuring and organizing your work, and are driven by working towards set goals. We see that you have a positive attitude, both towards patients and colleagues, and are engaged, proactive, and see opportunities instead of obstacles in the change process. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Knowledge of sign language/sign support is meritorious but not a requirement.

Your future workplace
At the clinic, we are approximately 60 employees who collaborate with the patient at the center; audiologists, ENT doctors, audiologists (clinical), hearing educators, special educators, sign language teachers, hearing care technicians, speech therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. The specialty treats congenital and acquired diseases and injuries and covers both acute and non-acute conditions in patient groups of all ages. Our primary catchment area covers approximately 140,000 residents.
Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and newborn care. Over 2,300 people work here to offer good care and high patient safety to the county's residents. Our employees' continuous development work allows us to achieve good results in several different national measurements. The hospital is located close to Kalmar center and Kalmarsund.
