Substitute Leisure-Time Pedagogue at IES Kista

At International English School (IES), we make a difference in our students' lives. IES Kista is a school for grades Pre-School Class to Grade 9. We follow the Swedish curriculum and have up to 50% of the teaching in English. IES Kista is currently expanding its student numbers in grades Pre-School Class to Grade 3 and is welcoming students in Grade 2 and 3 for the first time. We are looking for two leisure-time pedagogues for 50% positions.

About the Role

As a leisure-time pedagogue with us, you work both during lesson time and within the leisure-time activities. During lessons, you collaborate closely with the class teacher to support students with structure, relationships, and study atmosphere, as well as contributing to a safe learning environment in the classroom.

In the afternoons, you work closely with the students and carry out structured, creative, and engaging activities that you plan together with colleagues. We want to create a leisure-time activity where students feel safe, have fun, and at the same time get the opportunity to develop both socially and pedagogically, in accordance with the curriculum for leisure-time centers.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with students and wants to be a key and secure adult throughout the school day. You are a clear leader and a good role model who has the ability to create structure while building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Since we are a bilingual school, it is important that you feel comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English.
