We are looking for you who are engaged, responsible, and professional in your interactions, and who wish to work with people in a respectful and long-term manner.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client is present. The tasks vary depending on the client's needs and may include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompanying the client to activities and appointments.

About the client

The assignment concerns a woman in her 50s living in Visby. Needs exist both on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 08:30–20:00 with a 1.5-hour lunch break. Working hours may change at a later stage.

There is also an opportunity to work with several clients, either in the same area or in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We believe that you, the applicant, live in or near Visby to have the opportunity to work even on short assignments. You have a structured and efficient work style and like order and cleanliness. You are welcome to have an interest in planting and gardening, as well as liking cats, since there is a cat in the home. It is meritorious if you have experience from healthcare or are studying something within healthcare and want a part-time job linked to your studies.

We are looking for you who:

• Are responsible, sensitive, and have a professional attitude
• Respect the individual's privacy and self-determination
• Can work independently but also follow given routines
• Have experience from work within healthcare or are studying something within healthcare
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
• Have a driver's license for manual transmission cars
• Have the possibility to work flexible hours
• Are not allergic to cats

Previous experience in personal assistance or USK training is meritorious, but personal suitability and attitude are most important. Out of respect for the client's self-determination and personal integrity, we are only seeking female assistants for this assignment.

Employment conditions

• Employment conditions according to collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage according to agreement

• Valid identification must be presented before the contract is signed
• Extract from the Police's criminal record (for elderly or adults with disabilities) must be presented before employment
