We are now looking for additional support for our assignment in Gothem. We are looking for you who are engaged, responsible, and professional in your approach, and who want to work with people in a respectful and long-term manner.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the customer's home and in other environments where the customer is present. The tasks vary depending on the customer's needs and can include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment to activities and appointments.

About the customer and the assignment

The assignment concerns a man in his 60s living in Gothem (Slite). The man lives in a villa, and your task will be to support him in his daily life. The man has Parkinson's disease and communication difficulties. Therefore, it is important that you understand and can speak fluent Swedish.

The working hours are 20:00–12:15 (night), of which 8 hours consist of on-call duty. You are expected to be able to work both weekdays and weekends.

It is important that both you and the customer feel safe with each other in the work. Therefore, you always start with an introduction together with experienced staff so that you can then work independently. The position starts with a temporary hourly employment with the aim of transitioning to a permanent position. A prerequisite is that the customer and you get along and that the personal chemistry feels right for both parties. The position is available with a start in September as agreed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Preferably have experience working as a personal assistant or other experience from healthcare professions
• Are responsible, sensitive, and have a professional attitude
• Are proactive and capable of taking action
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
• Have a driver's license and access to your own car.
• Have the possibility to work flexible hours

Great importance is attached to personal suitability as well as respect for the customer's self-determination and personal integrity.

Terms of employment

• Terms of employment according to collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage as agreed

• Valid identification must be presented before the contract is signed
• Extract from the Police's criminal record (for elderly or adults with disabilities) must be presented before employment
