We are looking for someone who is engaged, responsible, and professional in their approach, and who wants to work with people in a respectful and long-term manner.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client is present. The tasks vary depending on the client's needs and may include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment during activities and errands.

About the client

The assignment concerns a woman in her 50s living in Visby. Needs exist both on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 08:30-20:00 with a 1.5-hour lunch break. The working hours may change later on.

There is also an opportunity to work with several clients, either within the same locality or in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We believe that you, as an applicant, live in or near Visby to have the opportunity to work even on short assignments. You have a structured and efficient way of working and like order and tidiness. You are welcome to have an interest in planting and gardening, as well as liking cats, since there is a cat in the home. It is meritorious if you have experience from healthcare or are studying something within healthcare and want a part-time job related to your studies.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, receptive, and has a professional attitude
• Is respectful of the individual's integrity and self-determination
• Can work independently but also follow given routines
• Has experience from work within healthcare or is studying something within healthcare
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
• Has a driver's license for a manual car
• Has the possibility to work flexible hours
• Is not allergic to cats

Previous experience in personal assistance or USK training is meritorious, but personal suitability and attitude are most important. Out of respect for the client's self-determination and personal integrity, we are only seeking female assistants for this assignment.

Employment conditions

• Employment conditions according to collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage according to agreement

• Extract from the Police's criminal record (elderly or adults with disabilities) must be presented before employment
