Do you want to work in an idealistic and social therapeutic operation where the human being is at the center? Hajdes Economic Association is now looking for five housing support workers for our group homes in Fröjel on Gotland.

We are looking for employees for both Emmy's Gård and Enegården. The positions have different scopes and working hours, which means that in your application you need to specify which or which of the positions you are interested in.

About Hajdes

Hajdes is a social therapeutic LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operation located in Fröjel on Gotland, about four miles south of Visby. The operation is idealistic and non-profit and includes both group homes and day activities.

At our place, 16 adults live distributed across five group homes and we are about 80 employees. Our work is based on each person's individual needs, conditions and opportunities for development. The social therapeutic orientation means that we look at the whole person and work to create a safe, meaningful and cohesive everyday life.

Open Positions

Emmy's Gård

Position 1 – Housing Support Worker, Awake Night

• Scope: approx. 75 percent
• Working hours: awake night according to schedule, all days of the week
• Employment type: permanent employment with an initial probationary period

In the position, you work independently and support the residents during the night. The tasks include, among other things, presence support and support with personal hygiene.

Position 2 – Housing Support Worker

• Scope: approx. 89 percent
• Working hours: mainly evenings and weekends plus two awake night shifts per month
• Employment type: permanent employment with an initial probationary period

Position 3 – Housing Support Worker

• Scope: approx. 50 percent
• Working hours: mainly evenings and weekends plus four awake night shifts per month
• Employment type: permanent employment with an initial probationary period

In these positions, you support the residents in their everyday life. The work includes, among other things, personal care, household chores, leisure activities and individually adapted support.

Enegården

Positions 4 and 5 – Housing Support Worker with work within housing and day activities

• Number of positions: two
• Scope: approx. 67 percent per position
• Working hours: mainly evenings and nights with sleeping on-call. Daytime also occurs
• Employment type: permanent employment with an initial probationary period

In the positions, you work both in the group home and in Hajdes daily activities. You support the residents and workers in their everyday life through, among other things, personal care, household chores, leisure activities and participation in the daily activities' work tasks.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are secure, calm and present and who have a genuine interest in working with people. You need to be able to work both independently and together with others and be able to take responsibility and make thoughtful decisions in different situations.

You work in a low-affective manner and have the ability to notice and adapt support to each person's individual needs. The work can involve complex and challenging situations, and it is therefore important that you can maintain calm, create security and meet people in a respectful and professional manner.

We would like you to have:

• experience of working within LSS
• experience of meeting people with challenging behaviors
• knowledge of low-affective handling
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing.

Experience from psychiatry is meritorious, especially for the positions at Enegården.

Qualifications

You must have:

• education from the Care and Care Program, previously the Nursing Program, or other equivalent upper secondary education
• Class B driver's license and ability to drive a car with manual transmission
• good knowledge of Swedish.

Education with a focus on special pedagogy is meritorious.

Terms of Employment

Salary and other terms of employment are regulated according to the current collective agreement. All positions are permanent positions that start with a probationary period.
