We are now looking for a personal assistant who wants meaningful work and the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. The assignment involves a man in his 70s living in Burgsvik. The man has his own carpentry workshop that is used frequently. Perfect for you who like to create with your hands and are handy. The man uses a wheelchair, so transfers are part of the work. Aids are available at the workplace.

Working hours are from 07:30 to 22:30, both on weekdays and weekends.

Your duties include supporting the man in his daily life and helping with, among other things:

• Personal hygiene
• Cooking
• Transfers
• Exercise routines
• Excursions and visits outside the home
• Helping in the man's workshop

You will be employed as a substitute and receive an hourly contract. This means you can control your own working hours and work as needed. There are possibilities to get a fixed schedule later on if the chemistry feels right between you and the client.

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client is present. The tasks vary depending on the client's needs and can include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment during activities and errands.

There is also the possibility to work with several clients in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Preferably have experience working as a personal assistant
• Are responsible, empathetic, and have a professional attitude
• Respect the client's self-determination and are comfortable going with the flow
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have an interest in or experience with carpentry/woodworking, as the client has his own workshop at home
• Have a driver's license and access to your own car
• Have the ability to work flexible hours

Great importance is placed on personal suitability as well as respect for the client's self-determination and personal integrity.

Terms of Employment

• Employment terms according to collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage according to agreement

• Extract from the Police Criminal Record (for work with children with disabilities) must be presented before employment
