Your Role

As a Production Quality Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring product quality and efficient working methods in production. The role involves establishing, monitoring, and continuously improving production processes to ensure they meet current requirements, standards, and customer expectations. You serve as a qualified support to production in quality matters and represent management or the customer as needed in issues related to production quality.

You work closely with production and other functions to identify areas for improvement, prevent quality defects, and ensure that products are delivered according to set quality and delivery requirements. The role also involves reporting on the quality status and driving continuous improvement work within the operations.

Your responsibilities:

• Support production in quality-related activities, such as FAI, deviation management, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), scrapping, and participation in delivery meetings.
• Evaluate and handle quality-related issues associated with products, tools, and production processes.
• Provide production support through, for example, IPC support, training, and participation in quality forums.
• Ensure that working methods and processes comply with current requirements, standards, and directives.
• Plan and conduct qualifications and validations.
• Support quality work in production in new development projects.
• Monitor the quality status and initiate quality assurance measures as needed through product reviews, process reviews, and analysis of statistics from deviation reports.
• Report quality status, review results, and improvement work to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to ensuring that delivery criteria are met.
• Drive and support quality improvement initiatives within the organization by clarifying requirements and needs.
• Lead or participate in work with corrective and preventive actions within the quality area.
• Participate in and, if necessary, drive initiatives for product and business development.
• Guide colleagues in the management system and train in areas where the quality department is responsible.

You will become part of a team of 6-10 colleagues with varying backgrounds, experience, and competencies. The team is characterized by close collaboration where knowledge sharing, support, and an open climate for questions are a natural part of everyday life. Together, you are responsible for supporting production and ensuring high quality and delivery of products.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are interested in development and problem-solving through close collaboration with other functions. You thrive in a varied environment where communication and self-leadership are important. You enjoy understanding the big picture by carefully reviewing and performing analyses of flows and processes.

We also see that you have:

• A university degree in engineering/quality or equivalent professional experience
• 1-3 years of experience in quality work
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious experience:

• IPC-610/IPC-620
• Production-proximity work
• Practical experience with different methods for root cause analysis
• Qualification of equipment and processes
• Quality management systems and quality assessments
• Process development and process improvements

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
