How you contribute as Unit Manager

In the role of Unit Manager, you are responsible for developing, driving, and following up on operations based on overarching goals. Personnel and budget responsibility are also part of the assignment. The management role covers responsibility for district nurses and registered nurses in the evening and night organization. There are currently 26 employees working there.

You practice coaching leadership and constantly work to promote a good working environment. The work involves collaboration with other units and operations so that the administration as a whole can achieve its goals. A cross-professional approach is required.

As a Unit Manager, it is important that you continuously keep yourself updated on current legislation and monitor changes that affect operations so that you can initiate and drive change work when necessary. You report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Unit Manager will be part of the operation area's management group together with the Operations Manager and other Unit Managers.

In your daily work, you are guided by Sundsvall Municipality's value base and the values of courage, openness, and holistic view.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have at least six years of experience in the profession. You have experience of personnel management as well as personnel and budget responsibility. You have also worked with operation management, development, and change leadership.

You have good digital competence, express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, and have a B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have management experience, leadership training, and experience from the operation area. Experience of working within public operations is also meritorious.

We are looking for you who is a secure and stable leader with good self-awareness. You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and lead and motivate your employees towards common goals. You create engagement and participation through a coaching approach and have good collaboration skills. With a listening and communicative working style, you build good relationships and contribute to constructive collaboration.

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.
