Job Description

In this role, you will work on optimizing and monitoring processes at Vakin's facilities to ensure efficient and sustainable operations. You are responsible for driving and developing improvement work according to VA operations routines, with a focus on quality, functionality, and long-term development.

You collaborate closely with both maintenance and operations to identify and rectify deficiencies in the facilities, while also contributing to investment planning through cooperation with investigators. In this role, you also serve as an expert and support in matters related to facility projects, where your expertise becomes a key resource in both planning and execution.

To ensure that the business stays at the forefront, you are also expected to actively follow developments within the water and wastewater industry, including participating in conferences and various forms of further education.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant technical university degree or civil engineering education in mechanical, process, or energy engineering, or equivalent work experience. You have a good technical understanding of mechanics and industrial processes, as well as experience from process or manufacturing industry, for example within dairy, pulp/paper, or energy companies.

You work systematically with process safety and have a holistic perspective that covers both design and operations. Furthermore, you have a good ability to analyze, develop, and optimize processes. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and hold a valid driver's license (Category B). Practical experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production environment is considered an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have experience or authorization as a gas plant supervisor, as this may be included in the role. Additionally, knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards is a benefit.

To succeed in the role, you collaborate well with different people, take responsibility for your work, and are clear in your communication. You enjoy solving complex problems and are eager to take initiative to achieve goals and results.

Other Information

The position is a permanent full-time position with start date as agreed. We may apply a probationary period.

Since we conduct socially important operations, security clearance may be required for some positions. As part of our security work, the final candidate for these positions will, upon approval, be subject to a background check and a security interview.
