About Us

Neuropsychiatric Clinic Öster is one of Sweden's largest psychiatric clinics, investigating and treating ADHD and Tourette's, as well as investigating autism. In cases of neuropsychiatric disability, the clinic is also responsible for treating any other psychiatric comorbidity the patient may suffer from.

About the Job

As a nurse at Neuropsychiatric Clinic Öster, you will work in one of the clinic's four teams together with doctors, psychologists, counselors, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation coordinators. In close collaboration with the doctor, the nurse is responsible for initiating central stimulants, medication follow-ups, blood sampling, and annual follow-ups of patients. The role also includes psychoeducational interventions and health counseling.

Your working hours are during daytime, on weekdays without holidays, with the possibility of flexible working hours. The clinic is located in the Krokslätts Fabriker area in a building designed by Gert Wingårdh. The premises are fresh and bright. In the same building as the clinic, there is a gym where several employees exercise during lunch breaks.

About You

• We are looking for you who are a registered nurse.
• Previous experience with the target group or other work with patients with psychiatric issues is meritorious.
• We value a good work climate at the clinic. This is built on great commitment, a positive basic attitude, and good collegial community, which requires teamwork skills and social competence.
• You must have good communication skills and be able to express yourself easily in speech and writing.
• We also want you to be computer literate and able to quickly learn new IT systems.
• We encourage an interest in the patient group with neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as in research and development work in general.
• Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Clinical Base Year for New Graduates

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Base Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Base Year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing guidance, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it includes service on at least two different wards to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
