Land Workshop Enköping is a section within Land Workshop Uppland, which is one of eight divisions within the Land Workshop Unit (MvE) and belongs to the Army Staff. Mv Uppland currently has approximately 55 employees and operates in Enköping and Uppsala.

The Land Workshop performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection.

Main responsibilities:

The role of a technician in electronic warfare involves independently carrying out both preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic warfare systems. The tasks include soldier-carried systems as well as cabin and vehicle-mounted systems used by our units. Most of the work takes place in our workshop.

• Maintenance and repair of the Swedish Armed Forces' electronic warfare systems.
• Technical support to the Swedish Armed Forces' electronic warfare companies and other stakeholders.
• Support the development of existing systems and contribute to the development of new ones.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have completed at least a two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on electricity/telecommunications/technology, or alternatively, competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good knowledge in the field of telecommunications/radio communication as well as computer technology/data communication, and the ability to independently perform troubleshooting and repair on these types of systems.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team but can also take responsibility for individual work. You need to be flexible, self-reliant, driven, and engaged to thrive in the role.

Meritorious experience:

• Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces.
• Experience handling signals protection equipment.
• Experience with network technology.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' tele/radio/line systems.
• Category C driver's license.
• Knowledge of radio/wireless communication.

Other information

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period.
Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours – varying working times may occur.
Work location: Enköping.
Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

The work also involves requirements for travel and duty, both domestic and international. The position is a civilian post.
