Design Coordination Manager / Construction Manager (Buildings) for an exciting assignment within Västlänken – Project Korsvägen. We are looking for you who have extensive experience in building construction, design management, and construction supervision, and who thrive in large-scale projects where coordination, quality, and safety are in focus.

As Design Coordination Manager and Construction Manager (Buildings), you are responsible for creating the best possible conditions for a safe, efficient, and high-quality construction process. You drive the design of the building parts of the station, coordinate various stakeholders, and serve as a key support to the project management throughout the project's implementation.

You will primarily work within Project Korsvägen in Västlänken, but may also support other projects within Västlänken and Project Olskroken as needed.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Lead and coordinate design work within building construction.
• Create conditions for a safe and efficient project implementation.
• Direct and follow up on the work of technical consultants regarding time, cost, quality, and content.
• Coordinate the project's stakeholders, including the City of Gothenburg and Västtrafik.
• Act as support to project management in design matters.
• Plan and lead design meetings.
• Ensure that authority requirements, legal requirements, and occupational health and safety requirements are met.
• Work actively with risk management and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with installation coordinators, architects, and other technical disciplines.
• Review construction documents and technical documentation.
• Participate in environmental and occupational health and safety rounds.
• Handle contractor deviations and ÄTA (Additional, Changed, or Terminated) works.
• Ensure that quality and control documentation is established.
• Follow up on contractor schedules and deliveries.
• Verify permits, such as TA plans and building permits.
• Review invoices and follow up on contract costs.
• Document observations and participate in inspections.

We are looking for someone who has

Required Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a design manager or equivalent role in building construction.
• At least 4 years of experience as a construction manager or equivalent role in building construction.
• At least 4 years of experience in the construction of public facilities in the role of design manager, construction manager, or equivalent position.
• At least 2 years of experience from larger building construction projects with a contract value exceeding 300 million SEK.
• At least 1 year of experience from projects in a metropolitan environment.
• Experience from both execution contracts and turnkey contracts.
• Experience from at least three assignments with good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) as well as experience with authority processes and permit handling, corresponding to the competence of a Responsible Controller (KA).
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid B-driver's license.
