About the workplace:

Bålsta Optik & EyeClinic is an established optical shop and eye clinic with a contract with Region Uppsala. Here, you will meet both customers who want to have their eyes examined and purchase glasses/contact lenses, as well as patients seeing an ophthalmologist. We work in a modern clinic with access to advanced equipment and offer a wide range of eye health services.

Job Responsibilities:

As an optician here, you will have a varied role where you work both in the shop and in close collaboration with ophthalmologists. Your tasks will include:

• Performing eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
• Advising customers on glasses and contact lenses.
• Assisting with patient flows related to the ophthalmologist's clinic.

What we offer:

We provide professional eye care in one location, in close collaboration with experienced ophthalmologists. Patients here can receive help with various eye diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetes-related eye changes, glaucoma, cataracts, and childhood eye diseases.

We also offer advanced examinations and treatments, including fundus photography, cataract assessments, glaucoma follow-ups with visual field testing (Humphrey), and laser treatments such as YAG laser for posterior capsulotomy and SLT for glaucoma.

Qualifications:

• Registered Optician (legitimerad optiker).
• Interest in eye care and development within clinical work.
• Strong customer service skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
